Stellastarr* is strange mixture between Joy Division, and the Psychedelic Furs with some Iggy Pop punk rock edginess thrown in. For a while they were indie rock's best kept secrets, now the are finally getting their due, in commercials and on that barf-tastic show Gossip Girl.
The Teddybears are the quirkiest band from my high school years. They have featured Iggy Pop and Swedish pop stars. They have proven to have a lot of range and creativity. For some reason their songs are really hard to find...so I apologize for some of the really questionable videos.
Also check out "Yours To Keep" its my favorite song from them...but I couldn't find it anywhere.
