The Death of Martin Streek

I just recently found out that CFNY 102.1 the Edge DJ Martin Streek committed suicide last Monday. I am embarrassed and saddened I didn't find this out sooner. Martin Streek was one of my favorite DJs at 102.1, the only radio station that kept me sane throughout high school. Living in a city like Buffalo where everyone either listens to Nickelback or Fall Out Boy, being able to tune into a Toronto radio station like 102.1 was a refuge. I loved the On Going History Of New Music, The Indie Hour, Mod Club Radio, The Thursday 30, and Martin Streek. Streek was unconventional in his style and music taste a huge Clash fan, and will be missed by all of the people who were lucky enough to tune in and listen to him.
