Heavy melancholy ballads, and Atkins has a really great velvety "retro" voice. Nicole definitely is an old soul.

They may have come from a small rural community in upstate New York but their sound is distinctly urban. Their music has a very appealing haunting quality that has definitely drawn me in. For some reason it conjures up sounds from Massive attack's "Tear Drop" for me.
